CHANAKYA

A pioneer in the field of economics,administration,politics,military strategy and a true scholar from Takshila (Taxila) University.He was also the chief architect of the Maurya empire and a kingmaker.He was the one who educated Chandragupta Maurya,who later on founded the Maurya empire. His works ‘Arthashastra’ and ‘Neetishastra; are considered classics around the world.

The Arthashastra discusses monetary and fiscal policies, welfare, international relations, and war strategies in detail. The text mysteriously disappeared by around 12th century only to resurface in 1904 in the Mysore Orient Library.Neetishastra is a treatise on the ideal way of life, and shows Chanakya’s in-depth study of the Indian way of life.
