Message in a Bottle

How many times have we found ourselves tangled in the complex realms of conversation wherein all that we want to say never reaches out to that person. It may be because of various reasons viz. the person might be ignorant, ill capable of decoding the meaning behind your words or naive.Whatever be the reasons,if the message that we want to communicate never reaches out to the ones we intend to, then the great art of communication becomes a futile exercise and only adds to our frustration.

Along with our words we use all kinds of gestures, both verbal and non verbal, to ensure that our message, not only gets decoded by the intended recipient but is also accepted by the person. The words Intended Recipient carry special importance in this context. You might us the best possible means at your disposal to communicate, but in-case the message does not reach the Intended Recipient then all your efforts will go down the drain.

We all love to communicate.Fortunes have been built over the art of communication.Infact we communicate so that we can exchange our feelings, knowledge, know how with others and at the same time benefit from theirs.Communication is the main reason that our planet is increasingly being dubbed as a ‘Global Village’.The journey of our Earth from being a planet of the solar system to being known as a ‘Global Village’ is actually the story of the art of communication. Its evolution being in synchronization with that of humans.Infact communication has left mankind behind when it comes to evolution. If the rate of evolution for communication was to be applied to that of humans then perhaps we would have by now successfully evolved into the famous comic characters of X-Men/X-Women :-).Even though communication has not evolved on its own, evolved it has.None can deny the fact. For it is the best mode via which knowledge, on any subject, be exchanged with one another.

The Evolution of Communication

We say that it is a skill that we possess and we are the best masters of the same. But we are so very flawed in our opinion.Mother nature too employs this art and with best results. The best example to experience it is when you are outdoors under the scorching heat of the sun and when suddenly out of nowhere a cloud gently floats across the sun thus blocking its effects. It is Mother Natures way to send across a blanket of care to all her creations.

The funny and interesting part about communication is that you can convey feelings worth a thousand words just by a mere smile or by a simple expression of eyes and at times even an army of thousand words fail to send across the desired message. It is the only art which is employed by a person throughout his life. From his birth to his last breath.

Truly, communication is an art that is known to all, used to good effect by hardly any and mastered  by only few.
