What will you win when you race to the Moon?

“In the hopes of reaching the moon men fail to see the flowers that blossom at their feet.” – Albert Schweitzer

Ever wondered how in the pursuit of these so-called important things we miss out on all the less important but critical entities in our life? Noticed that how people are just running behind those things which if decided would not matter in life. But hardly any one pays any attention to it.In pursuit of unnecessary things one only makes their lives complex. When was the last time you did something that actually brought joy or happiness to the lives of those who really matter in your life and are not part of your work environment.People with whom you grew up,the ones who groomed you, taught you to read, write and play fair, installed good quality values, with whom you can share your life without any guilt of wasting it.One must always remember such people and try to ensure that they never get neglected from their lives.

This brings us to the age-old debate and understanding of ‘needs’ and ‘wants’.Some things in life are required and become our needs.Devotion of your time and energy towards the same is justified but problem arises when one concentrates more on wants instead of needs. There is nothing wrong in having wants in your life. They are important. But one must also learn to give importance to needs more.Unnecessary craze towards unwanted wants makes one forget or neglect the very things that have structured their lives. This is the root cause of many a problems.Never neglect those elements that have played a vital part in engineering your lives.

You might come first in your race to reach moon but within moments you will realize that all you have actually achieved is only dust at your feet.
