Paper Knives v/s True Fun

Note : Threat letters for the blog post will not be taken seriously 🙂

Exciting times.Work cancelled,no boss calling,no clients calling,no colleagues calling. The mobile does not beep annoyingly disturbing the quiet flow of the mind. How very wonderful. But for some over zealous people getting an unscheduled holiday is the worst thing to happen as they are of the opinion that work means everything to them and they spent the most enjoyable hours of their life at their workplace.Well everyone has their own opinion.

Do you ever feel going to your office is like going to your school.Well you have a boss but may not be as kind and caring as your teacher. You have colleagues but many of them would be busy sharpening their paper knives against you instead of being ‘just friends’ with you like your school buddies. In school you have fixed time set for each subject but in office you try to orchestrate the event of multitasking which more often than not ends up tangling up your To Do Office List. Why do people not adapt the time-tested method of having a Time Table which we used to follow religiously. List down what you want to do and assign a priority number and then carry out work accordingly. But many will not agree.Talking on the phone while typing a letter and at the same time thinking about some other thing(multi tasking) does not make you look like a professional but infact makes you look like a juggler of a circus who cannot perform his act.

The most important aspect between school and office are the ‘hours’. In school you find that the entire process is organised to the last minute even without anyone feeling any unnecessary urgency around it.You come on time do your work and you leave on time so that you can practice what you have learnt.Spend time with your friends and families and refresh your mind. Though office too offers the same services but more often than not they are only for the paper and hardly ever practised. In office you actually learn how to kill time unnecessarily and then work long hours to impress a certain some one. For those who do not do that CONGRATULATIONS! Hanging around in office when not required with people who only believe in plastic smiles and without any work does not help in improving your productivity and also never helps to highlight the reason for which you work in office.

At times I wonder, Are people more matured and more of sense when they are in school or when they are in Office? Think about it.
