Quote – Unquote

“If you can, help others; if you cannot do that, at least do not harm them – His Holiness Dalai Lama”

The most important aspect about this quote is that, it is very simple and unlike others, wherein, you feel as if you have to evolve yourself into a higher being in order to achieve or understand what has been said by any great personality.  The words are to the point are not at all sugar-coated. Also the meaning they carry is very important, simple and yet at times very difficult for many to follow.

So whenever if you find the below mentioned sign signaling a cry for help, do not ridicule it.

If you can then help, if you cannot then least do not throw judgements on the one’s who really care enough to respond to a sincere call.

Try to find your own meaning in the above quote. The words do not highlight anyone’s shortcomings, but they only show the path forward.

His Holiness The Dalai Lama, in my opinion is one of the most influential spiritual leaders of our times. As you’ve said, his power lies in his simplicity. He makes it so simple for the reader / listener, that everyone can understand and appreciate the teaching. As Einstein said, “When the solution is simple, God is answering.” I think that’s what His Holiness does for the people out of his immense compassion for mankind.
