I do not know what weapons World War III will be fought with, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. – Albert Einstein
I wonder when exactly did Ablert Einstein had quoted the mentioned famous words. If he knew that his study of science would be vital in kicking off a nuclear arms age and race, then I am sure he would have perhaps stopped his research for the greater good of mankind…… or am I being too optimistic about his virtues.
This post is being written to throw some light on the current crisis boiling in Middle East.
“War is the continuation of Politik (Policy) by other means” – Carl von Clausewitz, throws light of the brazen use of force used by humans against their own species. Humanity stood divided in the early part of the last century and the result of this equation lead to wars – popularly remembered as World Wars. But what was the end result of that massacre? Was the war detrimental in ensuring peace, equality, prosperity or any other good virtues.?NO!!
But it sure lead to the birth of a weapon which marked the end of the Second World War. The Atomic / Nuclear Bomb. A bomb created by putting into motion the very rules of Albert Einstein. I feel he was a wise man. But even wise men at times cannot see all ends. The second World War ended but the foundations of a new world were concreted by the use of this highly destructive weapon. A world which was forever cursed to live under the shadow of a threat – Nuclear (Bomb) threat.
Sixty seven years have passed from the time the curtain was dropped on global conflict called as World War – II. But most of these sixty seven years have passed trying to ward off another global conflict – Nuclear in nature.
The current crisis in Middle East are true real to be ignored. The world, even if it wants to, cannot ignore the deadly results, that a possible conflict in Middle East might produce. The conflict may or may not go nuclear in nature. But the possibilities of former are far more real than latter.
The elusive weapon, once the darling of the powerful, is not flirting with anyone and everyone. I am willing to take the optimistic route here and will state on record that the current crisis might diffuse in the middle east. But who will guarantee the future. A weapon, that was devised to end a war, has now ironically, come back to end humanity.
The nuclear age is an age where humans should have never stepped into. If only Abert Einstein knew of the perils of his all time famous equation E=mc2, he would have perhaps stopped his research. But alas it is too late. When it ends, no will be blamed for no will remain alive to blame.
It is time the world acts together as one. Not against each other but for one another. Nuclear activities have to be stopped and must be stopped. The use of nuclear energy for civilian or military purpose cannot be justified and should not be tolerated by humanity.
Why can’t the scientist from around the world come together to ensure the optimum, economical and environmental friendly use of renewable resources. It would perhaps lay the foundation of a bright future for mankind.
War should not and must not be used as an extension of policies and weapons of nuclear nature must be wiped out before they wipe out humanity and mankind from the face of Earth.
