Nobody can bring you peace but yourself – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Peace is a word used by many but its meaning changes as the context changes. People strive for many things in life but rarely do we see them strive for peace. Not that there are none, who devote their lives for this noble pursuit. Many dedicate their lives to bring about peace and harmony in their immediate society and environment.
Peace is not contentment; though contentment can be used to describe only a part of it. Off the various degrees of peace one might strive for, the one that affirms itself firmly at the pinnacle, is that of being in peace with oneself. And for that, the most essential ingredient which can unlock the floodgates to solace is a conscience at peace. A peaceful conscience can only be achieved when your actions acknowledge the voice of your conscience in complete harmony and also are aimed at enriching the lives of the society one lives in. Society which not only includes humans, animals, birds but also trees.
It is upto you and you only, to walk the road, that leads to true inner peace. A feeling which cannot be shaken by the activities and events of the outside world. It is journey that leads within.
